This page is for safety directors and training managers who buy exam preparation for the people who run safety on their jobs. Toe Board prepares one person at a time for the BCSP Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) exam. A team order is the same course bought for several people, quoted and invoiced by hand.
Check who can apply first
BCSP asks for three years of experience in construction safety, with at least 35% of the person's duties requiring technical skills and knowledge in safety, health and environmental work. The eligibility guide explains the rule, so you know who on your team can apply now and who needs more time. BCSP's fees were $140 for the application and $300 for the exam when we read its sheet on 24 Oct 2026, and BCSP can change them without notice. The cost and scheduling guide has the full table.
Plan around a long exam
The exam gives 4 hours at a Pearson test center, across four domains: hazard and risk identification and control (36.6%), safety program development, implementation and sustainment (22.5%), leadership, communication and training (21%), and emergency preparedness, incident investigation and response (19.9%). People who work the sites every day are usually strong on some domains and weak on others, and the domain scores show which. See the exam outline.
Once BCSP clears an application, the person has one year to schedule and pass. Time your study to that window. Toe Board cites OSHA 29 CFR 1926 by section number only and does not reproduce standard text.
What each seat gets
A seat is one person's access to the course. It includes:
- A question bank with each answer key checked by an independent second solve
- A full-length timed practice exam
- A lesson for each domain of the published BCSP CHST blueprint
- A study plan built from the person's exam date
- An exam-day checklist
Each person can start with the free 10-question check. It shows a score by domain without signing up, so a supervisor can see where study time is needed.
How quotes and invoices work
The crew prices below are per seat. The price depends on team size: one rate for 3 to 9 seats and a lower rate for 10 or more. The table shows the exact figures.
- Send the form. Give us your name, work email, company and the number of seats.
- Get a quote by email. A person at Toe Board replies with a quote.
- Pay by invoice. We invoice by hand. There is no checkout for crew orders.
Team orders are handled by email. We do not offer seat assignment, a roster or a team dashboard. Each person works through their own course, and you track progress in your own training plan.
Common questions
Can I see how my people are doing?
Not in one place. Toe Board has no team dashboard. Ask each person to share their free-check score and study-plan progress, and record it in your training file.
Can an employer pay for one person without a quote?
Yes. A single course is a one-time payment on the course page. If your employer is paying, tick "My employer is paying" at checkout and we email a receipt you can expense. The terms cover refunds for individual purchases.
Does the course certify anyone?
No. Toe Board is exam preparation only. BCSP issues the credential after its own process.
Not affiliated with or endorsed by BCSP.
